About
- Do you dread going to work everyday?
- Is your life missing something?
- Do you want to make a difference with your life but not sure how?
- Do you want to live and enjoy your Dream Life?
Well I do! These questions have shaped me from early on in life. Yet somehow, I managed to get stuck in the rut just like a lot of people I know. But it didn’t last long. I soon began a journey to find my UnWork… the Dream Life I had always wanted.
Now I share my adventures with you so you too can find your UnWork.
Who am I?
My name is Hailey Rene and I am in my 20’s. After graduating from college, I fell into a good job that offered lots of flexibility and paid great. But I soon became unsatisfied. In High School, I had made a promise to myself to only do work that would make a difference and would let me make my impact on this world, and this job just wasn’t cutting it.
Inspired by books such as ROWE and 4 Hour Work Week, I began to shape my life into a life that I felt was worth living. In my own terms, I began to discover my UnWork.
What is UnWork?
UnWork is about finding the activities that you are passionate about doing that add value to your life and the lives of others and then shaping your life so that you can do these activities full time.
UnWorkaholism is not about working a lot. In fact, I try to “Work” as little as possible (which doesn’t mean that I sit around being a bum either). I don’t want to miss my life by sitting in an office until really late every night solving small problems.
How can you get start?
The best place to start is by signing up for my free ‘Finding your Unwork’ e-course and newsletter. It is a bigger course that gets you started thinking about the concepts that I cover in this blog. I walk you through simple exercises to get you started on your journey toward Unworkaholism.
Thanks!
I am grateful to Pace Smith, who had the conversation with me at SXSW 2010 that sparked the idea for this blog. Pace is co-author of a blog about personal development for freaky people. It’s awesome and well worth checking out!
Disclaimer
My number one goal with this blog is to help you find your UnWork. I promise that I will never recommend a product or service that I don’t feel would be truly beneficial to you on your journey to UnWork.
That said, I do use this blog to make money that helps me fund my UnWork life. I do make money from the ads in the sidebar. But each of those products comes highly recommended by me. That is why they are there.
I also promise that I will disclose any affiliate links posted on this blog.
